Reducing Accidents at Play Event
Year 6 children attended an event with the Fire Brigade,Coast guard,Northern Electric,nursing staff and Nexus to talk about staying safe and to enable them to reduce the risk of accidents when playing out.
The Customs House
Year Four worked with the Customs House to find out more about the history of theatres in South Shields.Together they produced this amazing animation.
Police
The community police regularly visit our school to talk to the children about staying safe and being responsible citizens.
South Shields FC
Over the year, each class works with coaches from South Shields Football club to help us to stay fit and healthy. We have been lucky enough to take part in a dance festival at Mariner's Park and to be mascots and walk the first team on to the pitch.
Kalma Yoga Sessions
Year Four are currently working with Kalmer Yoga to learn breathing and mindfulness techniques. It allows them to find strategies to support their wellness,mental health and regulate their emotions.
