Reaching new horizons

Safer internet day

What is Safer Internet Day?

Safer Internet Day is celebrated globally in February each year to promote the safe and positive use of digital technology for children and young people and inspire a national conversation.

This year there is a global slogan of 'Together for a better internet'. This theme has been chosen by the Insafe network which is made up of Safer Internet Centres based in every European country.

Today Mrs Carter is leading an assembly to remind children how to keep themselves safe in a digital world. The children will also be completing activities in class which supports our Kidsafe program.

If parents would like more support to keep their child safe online please look at our Useful links page.

Last year the children worked at the Openzone to make a video to tell adults how to support children staying safe  online. Here it is.
