Reaching new horizons

Reception NM

Welcome to RNM!

Science Week!

For Science week, we have found out all about recycling and explored the different materials which can be recycled. We enjoyed sorting all of the rubbish into the correct recycling bins (glass, paper and card, plastic, compost and metal). We also made our own posters to tell people to put their rubbish in the correct recycle bin to help save the planet.

We enjoyed visiting the computer suite and using the 2Simple program.

Measuring Time

We had a great time exploring time! We set up an outdoor obstacle course and used stopwatches to time how long it took each of us to complete it! We also ordered each person in our group to see who was the quickest!

Sharing objects

Gingerbread Investigation.... We investigated what happened to the gingerbread people when they were placed in different liquids. We were really surprised with the results!

We love our new role play area! We can serve you some delicious fish and chips or perhaps some ice cream!

The lifecycle of a frog! We have enjoyed observing frog spawn turn into tadpoles! I wonder if we get any frogs soon!

We loved making our Easter nests!

We have made cards for our friends and shared with our friends in our play.

"My friends were playing with me and being kind to me. They were sharing and caring with me."

My friend is kind to me. When I feel over on my scooter the other day. She picked it up for me and made sure I was ok."
