We had a very exciting afternoon with a visit from two police officers! They brought some uniform for us to try on and a police van for us to go inside!
We had a great week exploring different materials that float and sink. We found some materials and objects that we might find washed up at the beach. We predicted if they would float and sink and then carried out our investigation. We enjoyed looking at all the other Science activities that the other classes completed during the week.
As part of our topic 'People Who Help Us', we had a visit from the fire brigade who took us on the fire engine and let us have a go at using the hose! It was such good fun!

We helped the naughty elves by finding the 6 missing jigsaw pieces and sat around the campfire to eat toasted marshmallows. We went inside to warm up with a drink of hot chocolate before meeting Santa! What an exciting time we had!
We had a great time exploring magnets and magnetism with our visitor. We found out what a magnet is and explored things which are magnetic and things which are not magnetic. We made predictions to say if we thought some objects would be magnetic. We learnt that all the objects which were magnetic were made from metal.
Halloween Fun Day!
